Just to clarify things as a resident and a person with common sense. It snows at 13, 796' when you are barely inside the tropics and at that elevation. There are other factors as well like winds and moisture etc. It snows every year here in Hawaii, sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less. It is a normal thing for a mountain of this height, no mystery here. Aloha
