  • It sounds as though you have under water exhaust. Is that the case? Good job adapting that engine! Richard

  • @rzsdad1 no, stock lawnmower muffler

  • very nice good job. do you have any footage of it on a boat? love to see it go.

  • @recyclerking sadly no.

  • You know what, people might laugh, BUT, this is the kind of "out of the box " thought that made America what it is. I once, when I was 16 years old, put an 8 hp motor on a 4 hp garden tractor. I think the same way, that is very cool !

  • thanks. I was bored at work one day and decided to do it. only took a coupl of hours. Thats how I am though, I see so many people that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and dont know how to do anything. Makes me sick...

  • but why put a trash can under it with water in it? its an air cooled motor right? just a question. Great Job on the retrofit.

  • Got the engine, looking for a lower unit

    COOL IDEA

  • Cool but does it have reverse?

  • @samljer he invented the compression mechanism that cools. (and is also used in air conditioners) before that they used ice.

  • @fognog3 Modern fridge is NOT refridgeration. and not invented. just updated it.

same goes for the filament, and bifocals.

  • @samljer robert perkins an american invented the first modern refrigerator. bifocals where invented by ben franklin. The filaments for the light bulb where perfected in thomas edisons lab in fort meyers ( i have been there and seen it). you are wrong on all counts.

  • @fognog3 refridgeration was invented in UK "that includes the air conditioner"

the first bifocals were french. coffee pot was not american either.

    Seweing machine ill give you.

revolver ill give you "but a shitty sidearm anyway"

the light bulb was made using filiments invented in canada, the computer was invented using

canadian inventions, and the internet is just a large ass network "the first network was not in USA either"

    get over yourself.

  • you should paint the brigsnstratton like a zombie brain. zombie powered fish chewing boat motor... it must be october... sorry

  • looks more suited as a washing machine to me

  • Great job! I will be doing the same kind of conversion sooner or later too, as the thought of saving 1000 euros compared to new 4 stroke western made outboard haunts me, heh!. Im trying to come up with a best and reliable solution for joining the two axles; motor and the propeller shafts, the same that i see many others too on here and elsewhere asks. In marine use when the distances are long back to the coast, the reliability becomes the most important issue.
