This is a clip from the Texas music documentary, Something in the Water, by Joel Melton. Beaver plays his song, If You Name a Thing, at the lakehouse he was painting. He wrote all the songs for his 2007 record, Exciting Opportunity, at this lakehouse while he was painting it. To order any of his CDs, go to www.beavernelson.com.
Chills; again! Great songwriting craft, great voice, great playing!
I first heard "The Beauty in Store" on a KGSR disc and I think I'm ready to have a kid now... :) That powerful! Forget bands and arrangements, I want to hear everything he does in solo acoustic demo style.
The Best!

Beaver is great! I don't understand why his music isn't more widely played. He's a terrific songwriter. I like this video with Beav dressed in in his day job uniform.

Beaver is a friend and one of the best songwriters I know. I am blessed to know him and experience his talent.

I have friends that are singer song writers and none have done real well in the business.
A couple of brothers that had tried making it seperately back in the 70s hooked up together and formed a band and have managed to produce 3 CDs since 98. They are now cutting at age 60 and are old and tired. I won't say their as good as ths man. That would just be my opinion. Some great musical artist never make it big time. This guy is great.

From the June issue of Texas Monthly: "Why isn't the world beating a path to Nelson's door to record his songs?" Check my comment above, I do believe the person who wrote the review and myself are on the same wavelength.
