Jodie Emery, BC Green Party candidate for Vancouver-Fraserview, was one of the select candidates to have a debate on air during the 2009 general election in British Columbia. Prohibition and gang violence was a prominent feature of the campaign, especially in the riding of Vancouver-Fraserview, where many gang-related murders were taking place. Kash Heed, the Liberal candidate, joined Jodie and Gabriel Yiu, the NDP candidate. This debate was heard by thousands during the election campaign. Allot of Canadians are working minimum wage jobs especially in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces. I know for a fact in Ontario right across to Newfoundland, there is more booze & tobacco running, drug dealing, music & movie piracy occurring. Newfoundland alone during September and October had over 6 million dollars worth of Marijuana confiscated by police.
