Assalaam Alaikum. I have been a fan of Mohtarama Fehmeeda Riaz Sahiba since 1982 when I had just graduated from Quaid-e-Azam University, was teaching at Islamabad College for Boys and found "Pathar Kee Zubaan" in the college library. Not having enough money to photocopy the book, I wrote ALL of the poems from that first collection of Fehmeed Riyaz's poems into my journal!!
In my opinion, she is among the top 5 modern Urdu poets... Talat Afroze

Can anyone tell me how to contact her? I was one of the last ppl to see her son before he died. Not to mention I'd lovew to meet the mother of the man i loved so much

Marvi ji - this was very good, thank you for sharing. Mujhe aiteraz hai tu aap ki statement per---the greatest living poet? Abhi Zehra Nigah, Saqi Farooqui, Kaifi Aazmi, Asad Mohammad Khan, Kumar Barabunkwi and many more are alive:-) May be ONE of the greatest but definitely not one and only.
