Don has been a crappy husband to Betty since season one.

Isn't it odd that even though Don did so much to poor Betty, cheated on her time and time again, we still feel sorry for him and wish she'd give him another chance?

Don did love Betty. He cheated on her because he was insecure. She's so prefect and he's living a lie and she was a constant reminder of that. Notice that the women he cheated on her with were no where near her level? Also, don't feel sorry for Betty. She had the last laugh. She cheated on Don , gave him a taste of his own medicine and then married the guy. Don is still paying for the house that Betty and her new husband live in and her new husband gets to see his kids more than he does.

don cheated, and lied and didn't really love betty, BUT he was a great father, he provided for them and in public he honored betty. i think that betty wanted it all and no one in this life can have it all, don was a very messed-up man [he was being through a lot], but he was a REAL man, i'd be grateful if i was betty... and they made such a beautiful couple, they were great, but betty wasn't made for don, don needed a woman to love him unconditionally but no one could do that!

all she ever wanted was him and he couldn't give that to her. you know he never loved her because he said himself in the first or second episode that love doesn't exist and that it's just something ad guys made up to sell product. I'm sorry for her that she got messed up with a man like this because he's the one who destroyed her heart and made her the cold callous bitch everyone hates now.
