Frank Lafaro wrote and recorded this song several years ago (in commemoration of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel J. Faulkner who was murdered "on the job" 30 years ago this December,) for his family, friends and fellow police officers. With the help of my good friend (Danny's partner) Gary Bell, the Faulkner family & Joey Vento of Geno's Steaks ( who provided financial assistance), Brett Talley and I engaged in this labor of love. Brett's expertise in recording and engineering, along with providing drums & bass, laid just the right foundation for my vocals & guitars. As you listen to this song, #4699 (Danny's Badge number), which was originally available through F.O.P Lodge #5, and now posted on you tube for all of you to enjoy, let us together remember this fine, young officer whose life was cut short while performing the duties of the profession he loved.

  • @spacepatrolman Mumia Abu-Jamal was convicted of murdering Officer Daniel Faulkner. Faulkner was a complained about, racist thug who was fatally shot whilst he was violently assaulting Abu-Jamal's brother, William Cook. Abu-Jamal was framed for the dirty pig's murder. Whoever did kill the pig thug probably saved Cook from being beaten to death by the coward pig. Google the video, "Mumia Abu-Jamal -- the Real Truth" for more facts about this case.

  • @PhillyCopsAreCorrupt I never heard of this case because I am not from that area was anybody convicted of shooting the cop ?

  • LOL, "this fine, young officer" was a racist thug who violently assaulted and falsely arrested innocent people merely because they were black. That is, according to the myriad racism-related internal affairs complaints that were filed against him, all of which were "white"washed. BURN IN HELL, PIG THUG!

  • Journalist and humanitarian Mumia Abu-Jamal was framed for the murder of racist, corrupt Philadelphia policeman Daniel Faulkner. Abu-Jamal was retaliated against for publicizing police crimes via his radio broadcasts and newspaper columns. Faulkner was the recipient of many race-related internal affairs complaints, all of which were "white" washed.

  • Faulkner was fatally shot by an unknown hero because he was violently assaulting Abu-Jamal's brother, William Cook. Anyone who still doubts Mumia's innocence should compare the gargantuan discrepancies between each of the police report, detective interviews, and trial testimony.

  • .....

  • Beautiful song, need to put some pictures and a video with it. Remember Daniel Faulkner, remember his widow.

  • A great tribute to a great man and a real hero! God Bless Officer Daniel Faulkner and every man and woman that lost their life! I thank all of law enforcement! Thank you for serving and protecting!

  • As usual an excellent piece of music Frank, Thanks for posting this for all to really listen. We all sometime seem to take for granted the tremendous sacrifice that the men in uniform and their families make to allow the rest of us to live the dream. My very best to you and the rest of the voices on this project.
