i love it that Breams has such a pure passion and love for the music is playing. when i listen to this the music touches something in side me. I'm 15, and to me bach is the greatest music around...

Continued: basically, Bach is several different chords, played at the same time. But a good guitarist can, from these chords, make two different melodies stand out. So there are different melodies you hear, not few chords. Now THIS is very the difficult thing is. To make every melody clear and keep them together. If there is only some chords with a melody - that is easy peasy. When you have many melodies and make them clear and loud - difficult.

The difficult thing with playing Bach is not technical quick stuff, like difficult legatos or whatever. The difficult thing, is to keep all different melodies flowing independently. For instance, to really hear the base melody, keep it together and flowing gently. It should be like several independent guitarists playing each melody, together. This is very difficult, and you need extremely good technique to do this. Otherwise, it will just be several different chords played together, no melodies.

@strazza555 Seems pretty close to the versions I have?

@strazza555 Look up "Violin Sonata Songsterr", pick the one on songsterr and you'll see its pretty much the same. Whatever you have is a special interpretation...

@BMSiren what they are probably looking for is two movements from the bach lute suites. this is not originally from a lute suite.

Hello, im going to be auditioning for a major in classical guitar very soon. and i was wondering if this piece fits this description..
***one or two movements from a suite by Bach***
if anyone could help me from their precious time it would be a work of space and time for me.. please help!

@guitarmachine13 That's what gives Bach's music the penultimate level of unity of purpose & design. It's not just a random process, but every moment leads from the moment before to the moment after.
