Last year Sam - a vibrant, good looking 24 year-old man - was playing soccer when he suffered a series of massive strokes that left him fighting for his life.
Doctors believed that if Sam survived he would be unable to walk or talk.
Australian Story shows how the love and persistence of Sam's fiance and family has led to an amazing medical discovery and ongoing battle with health professionals.

My father had a massive heart attack early this year and died. After 12 minutes his heart started beating on its own. he lived but his brain was without oxygen for 30 minutes. He was in ICU on life support. The doctors recommended turning it off. We said NO! Now, 7 months later my father is home. All his needs must be taken care of by my mother and I. He doesn't speak, walk or eat. He has a peg and I miss his voice. I love him so much. I tell him every day. I want him on Stilnox!
