Well I think they had lisence only to put it into CGS and not UAS (otherwise Daimao would be in the JP version). Or it might be that it could be harder to program the netcode in order for it to be region free or even both.

What baffles me is that they even removed the character themes in the Japanese version of UAS. Probably because it came out here first and then in Japan. Still makes me mad, I was looking forward to hearing a version of this for Blade.

well TvC Ultimate All-Stars DOES have character themes :) I doubt they will revamp the old game with a small upgrade like that after they've released the new game

the jap version has the original themes of the each character

Personally I think Capcom should come out with a special edition of the game, with the character themes in it, but that's opinion
