United Nations, New York, June 2009 - Afghanistan has some of the worst rates of maternal mortality in the world. Women still have problems accessing adequate healthcare. A new initiative enlists religious leaders to protect women's rights and health.
will the religious leader ( Mulla) allow women to maintain their rights? They are using Religion as tool. Mullahs always misinterpret Islam and support men controlling over the women.

I'm going to come across as pessimistic:
"Afghanistan: Using religious values to advance women's rights"
Weren't "religious values", initially used to throw away women's rights? It seems so subjective, some say women get more rights, some say no...

This will be a definite step forward for these women, if this is followed.
Also, I think it was smart to use material they hold in high regard n' not just use a basis of ethnocentrism. It shows relativism to their culture.
