The Royalettes were never appreciated in their time - nor probably was Teddy Randazzo - he, along with Bob Crewe, deserve some of the (over) adulation given to Phil Spector. This is just terrific - song, arrangement, production, playing, singing and sound - the latter which is far superior to what we heard on those noise MGM 45s and lps! Thank you!
Reminiscent for me of the earliest Bachrach-David compositions for Dionne Warwick, the Randazzo/Royalettes teaming has it's own special magic...adding a new dimension of emotional vulnerability and yearning, expressed with such beautiful vocal harmony. Far from needy, The Royalettes are PURE DREAMY!
I wonder if Amy Winehouse knew about this group...but then, I'm sure she did. She knew about every 50s and 60s girl group Lol

@reggie44 This song is almost a remake. It's called imprinting a sound and it MAY allow you to sell the same song (almost) twice.

This was the group that did the original version of "It's Gonna Take A Miracle", am I right? There's a distinct similarity between the two.

The Royalettes are to my ears what chipolata pudding is to my tongue; they are absolutely brilliant! Thanks for sharing.
