Also Ring of Honor does have characters, tons of them. Davey, Generico, Corino, Briscoes, Truth Martini, The KOW. Just they have no time to develop characters because of the lack of TV. And they need the Video Wire time to develop EVERYONE. Great video

@Manonfire310 I'm in a positive mood about some of this weekend's character development (non specified to protect against possible spoilers!) but how frequently I watch will be dependent on how hard the guys on here put it over. I've heard things about Corino lately that I find promising and should probably be watching, although I can't imagine a better diminishing veteran act in 2011 than Jun Akiyama. Quackenbush could probably do a stellar job with it when he's done with the Campeonatas.

Let me show you something:

That statement has 100s of youtube channels acting as very good evidence. Obviously, puroresu fans are going to like puroresu; just how ROH fans like ROH. If you start watching more varied wrestling, you might happen to like it and then not feel the need to bad-mouth all these evil puroresu fans.

Firstly, on youtube there are only a small handful of puroresu fans that speak on camera. In fact, I'm probably the only out-and-out puroresu fan. So your sample size is tiny. And in my case, I currently have 4 USA-based matches vs 3 Japanese matches on my MOTYC shortlist. So if your accusation is one of bias, you need to rethink.

@amcn1 Haha. You don't owe me a thing my friend :) I was at trios this year though. Pretty amazing weekend that is sort of getting a lot of down play. The ratings are still good...but it's hard to translate to a dvd...you know...seeing Sasuke,Shinzaki,& Togo live is much more magical than on DVD. And seeing 1-2-3 putting on an amazing show live was just...amazing! I guess I chose the wrong word. I'm definitely on your side of the debate though. I should get involved.

The thing about Ring of Honor and shock value, its really based on the feud itself and the standpoint of both wrestlers and the crowd. Like ANY Davey Richards main event match is pretty much just beat the shit out of eachother, on the other hand the SteenErico feud the final spot wasnt a huge crazy brainbusting head kick move, it was a replay (mega repeat with the story) and Steen trying to apologize etc etc, then Generico with the final blow.
