  • were you in e+ or biz?

  • @Fuzzxxxcore First row of E+ 19A

  • @PhilG380 how's the legroom? (or would I be able to get to the aisle without disturbing neighbors?)

  • @Fuzzxxxcore The legroom is a bit more generous than standard coach. I was seating in a bulkhead, so I didn't have seats reclining in my space, but no one had to get up to let me go to the bathroom. That said, I still had to step over my neighbors. It's worth it and can be added as an option after you buy your ticket. I think the SYD-LAX upgrade was about 150 USD. I didn't pay for Economy Plus for my onward flights, but they upgraded me anyway.

  • @PhilG380 sounds good, since Im 1P i get it for free. I asked because Im heading to Sydney in a few months and was deciding between row 19 or 45(exit, without a wing blocking some viewing space)

  • @Fuzzxxxcore Yeah, I made it back to Premier after the leg shown on the video. But be careful in Eco + on the 744. Only Rows 19-20 have full windows. Each row after in that section has windows missing, or misaligned. But yeah, I'm pretty stoked that Eco + goes back to free for me as well!

  • @Fuzzxxxcore Also, you may want to check seatguru.com. Their seat maps will tell you what rows, etc. to watch out for.

  • I hope that kid fell asleep quickly. How annoying. Children should be stowed in the cargo bin.

  • I want this video on my CMD J7 phone.

  • So can you tell me if the seats are still misaligned on the United 747-400? I am heading to Europe and upgraded to Economy Plus and according to seatguru.com it looks like they are still out of whack. I did reserve row 20. Would the bulkhead be better for such a long trip???

  • @ManiPulatoR84

They were originally ordered by Northwest but cancelled and then went to fly for United I believe.

  • I flew from Sydney to Los Angeles at September 22 2004 and it took FOREVER to get to the Island!

  • Great vid, and thanks for the information. I was just wondering why United has a 747-451 instead of a -422, though it was first delivered to them and not to Northwest.

  • Hey PhiiG380 Grate Video !!! I have Some Questions about your Flight ? How was the Service and As Well How were the Meals What Were the Choices I Heard that United Is not Grate For Meals and I would like to know Because Im thinking on Flying United to Sydney From SFO Grate Video !!!! :)

  • I would be so pissed if I had to look at the wing the whole flight!

  • Well from when the candles lit it completely to V-1 was more like 49 seconds. That is about average....but for some really loaded down 747s I have actually seen them close to 1 minute and a little over that before V-1. And I'm sure, there is some body out there in((Utube) virtual-land that can give the exact milleseconds from full-thrust to V-1..he he he!

Once the turbines have spooled to take-off thrust is a more realistic approach to judging how long the take-offs to V-1 are, is, or was?

  • cool video, i got flight on a video yesterday taking off from Melbourne.
