A parasite, ingested as larvae through polluted drinking water, has afflicted hundreds of people in Ghana.

Al Jazeera's Dan Nolan visited a village in northern Ghana where health officials are working to help people affected by the guinea worm, which can grow up to one-metre long inside the bodies of its victims.

  • I DEMAND DIRECT DEMRORCRUCRY

  • AlJazeera is a louzy substitute for your own forum. Journalism is corrupt and anti-democratic, because it is driven by profit. Market economy does this to freedom of speech and pits everybody against each other for profit, social hierarchy and control. Everybody wants to be the winner and that means all others will lose. Don't grave after such media, demand direct democracy

  • They are copying western media to a certain extent with human interest stories and even music. Personally don't care how they make enough money to survive as long as they do because it the closest thing to news you can get in the US.
