Every time I go camping I sleep horribly...I can't imagine hanging and trying to balance myself in a hammock is going to be restful.

can it handle rain/wind storms?

@Wolvve I've camping in heavy rain and the tarp held up well. I've never been in heavy rain and wind. I imagine you'll get a little wet. Although if you have a waterproof bivy sack you could minimize the water some more.

I just got one of these - the explorer deluxe model - and am very happy with it.

Just out of curiosity - did you end up using this hammock for the bulk of your trip?

@disillusions I used it about half the time when I was camping. When the terrain wasn't possible to lay a tent down, or I was too tired to setup my whole tent
