I need your advice on a cool smoking tobacco as I scorched my mouth from smoking a hot burning tobacco all weekend

What burns the tongue is the scorching sugar concentrated within the tobacco. The sweeter the tobacco, the hotter it will burn. Virginia is the sweetest tobacco and so, the most aggressive. It will torch your tongue if you smoke it fast.
Blenders slow and cool down Virginia with low-sugar buffers: for English blends, Oriental leaf; in American blends, burley.
Burley is the coolest-smoking leaf that can be smoked by itself. Dark, fire-cured burley has a surprising amount of body.

Hi pipefriend!
I would recommend you try Davidoff's Cool Mixture (or Blue mixture as it may be known) its never ever burned hot for me and always stays lit exceptionally well(i'm a newbie and have difficulty smoking all the way to the bottom, it cuts out about half way! any pointers for me?) Tastes quite ok too :)

Thanks! I would suggest stirring the ashes/tobacco with your pipe tool half way. Also try exhaling a little during smoking (through the stem) to spread the burn in your bowl
