Padre Pio, a humble Capuchin priest from San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy , was blessed by God in many wonderful and mysterious ways. The most dramatic was the stigmata. Padre Pio bore the wounds of Christ for fifty years!
Padre Pio, who died in 1968 at age 81, was a mystic monk who many Catholic faithful believe bore "stigmata," or wounds like those Jesus suffered at his crucifixion, on his hands and feet. He was made a saint in 2002
Church officials exhumed the body and they said there was no sign of the so-called stigmata on his limbs after an initial examination, and that the body was in good condition.

@CarlSagan6 Hey I looked it up and it said a couple of years? But those bodies are 100s of years oldd and plus they were found after so many years some of them in weather conditions where the bodies coudve survived at all plus ofcorse theyve been studied and they never found any type of presserving agent. Yeah alot have a thin layer of silk look up saint Catherine Lobouire her body was found 53 years later and it was umblemished and hereyes are as blue as when she was alive

@sexyassbrowneyes nooo, we most certainly do know how to preserve bodies (look up Vladamir Lenin). Also, the face you see on Padre Pio is a silicone mask (his face suffered considerable deterioration) and his body was found to be "partially skeletal." Just puttin it out there...

Why do people say there coud ve human intervation here? We all know not even with the highest tech we woud be able to keep a body in such conditions!plus the bodies of this saints arent hiding there "out there" for ppl to see.. If they were lies we woud all know by now!it cant be soo many years of crazy people and false miracles!

i am a catholic and i do believe in God but i am sure that God has better things to do that preserve a human which i don't believe has happened here i bet that there is human intervention here not divine intervention. if u dont like my opinion then dont comment as this is my opinion and i hope that as my neighbour u will respect me as i will u
