A beautiful ballad written by Kerry Livgren, WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE THIS SONG!!!
Artist: Kansas
Album: Point Of Know Return
Year: 1977

Lyrics:

I close my eyes
Only for a moment
and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes a curiosity

Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

Same old song
Just a drop of water
In the endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground
Though we refuse to see

Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

Now, don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever
But the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money
Won't another minute buy

Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind

  • great quality :]

  • thumbs up if final destination 4 didnt bring you here!

  • To my friend Mary Lynn Marsico: Those unforgiving and annoying people are just " Dust in the Wind " The Good memories you should embrace, as they will live on forever and ever !

  • Dust in the wind. So true.

  • Don't beieve everything you read. This song was written before the laws changed about songwriters retaining credit for songs they sell. Hopefully Mr. Livgren will do "the Christian Thing" and tell the truth before he leaves the planet.

  • I listen to this great song and think of the classmate i lost, she was be missed.

  • This song just started out as an guitar exercise. Then it blossomed into this magnificent masterpiece that almost "didn't make the grade" for the album. But thank goodness that it did. It turned out to be Kansas' most commercially successful song of all time! That helps pay the bills and places "you" on the map!
