Here is the view from the front seat on the Thunderbolt at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, PA. The Thunderbolt has been voted twice as best coaster in the world. The Thunderbolt was originally built as the Pippin in 1924 by John Miller and was rebuilt by Andrew Vettel in 1968. Sorry about the annoying screaming teenage girls @ 1:40. Video taken on June 14, 2008.

  • love kennywood best amusement park ever

  • reallyyyyyyyyyyyy fun coaster!

  • those arent very big drops

  • Rode this just last night. Too much fun.

  • @klgatesjr kings island is a good park, the beast is like thunderbolt, using the terrain where the track is placed.

  • @finkelink Ive ridden both coasters and they are completely diffrent from each other. Thunderbolt is more of a twister wooden coaster and Great American Scream Machine is more of an out and back wooden coaster. Tbolt is also way less painful if you are prepared for the first part of the lift hill cause it kicks you forward like the brakes on GASM and if you arnt ready for it it can hurt when your a smaller rider. I Love GASM its one of my favs a DEF underated coaster gotta love the airtime.

  • My favorite coaster at Kennywood. This brings back so many memories from my childhood. The Jackrabbit may have the double dip, but nothing beats the Thunderbolt, IMO.

  • first time i rode this i put my hand up and i felt like i was about to fall out of the car. i was pretty light . scary shit.

  • my husband is from norway and he LOVES this ride..... we always try to make it to kennywood every chance we get to come to Pittsburgh
