i know billy, and i remember this night, it was one of the best nights of my life.

I`m just the banjo player so I`m not sure but my guess would be "Briar Picker Brown". I`ll try and reach Bill Schmidt, the fiddler, and ask him. In the meantime, if anyone knows for sure, speak up!

I would like to know the name of this tune. Any help is welcome.

Took one one Bill's painting classes back in '82, UMBC,
weird how banjo players in any town manage to cross
paths. Nice to see him up and well, his band still
playing as fiery as ever. Had no idea he could swing
a fiddle bow.

Hi, here is a fiddler from Germany. How I envy all people joining in! A pity I am not invited for parties like that.
Keep playing, greetings from Karin

You`re welcome anytime!

Sounds like a version of the tune Flatwoods. I think the fiddler facing the camera is Scott Prouty.

I checked with He Who Knows All, fiddle-wise, Bill Schmidt, and he tells me you`re right on both counts; adds that it`s an Emmett Lundy tune.
