I love that receipe - i had to search a lot to find it back because I want to do it again with a friend. I love the "ritual" and the taste. If you like (good) espresso and have a decent (portafilter) espresso machine, this recipe is the one for you. And to those that complain about burning the alcohol: I'm sure that no more than 1-3% of the total alcohol will burn if you ignite it for such a short time. Just add a bit more whiskey...
If I made Irish Coffee at the bar and it took this long, my customer would be angry, my boss would fire me, and if they drank this coffee like this guy made it, they'd shoot me. What a nonsense way to make Irish coffee.
I do think its wierd that some mexican guy thinks he can make a better irish coffee than the irish. I never got anything like that when i were in Ireland, and when did espresso become irish?
hahah this video makes no sense i agree with most of u , my recipe: fill irish coffe glass( no porcelan mug) with hot water to heat it up discard water from glass add 4 cl of irish whiskey into glass add tea spoon of sugar stir until sugar is disolved add piping hot coffee (stir again) top of with slightly stirred cream. takes less then half a minute if ingredients are at hand

I am very sad. Coffee machines are very expensive here, and I can never make this recipe to the satisfaction ...

Would Tullamore Dew work? I mean alot of people i've seen use Jameson but i at work only have Tullamore Dew. :/
Also i was told that whiskey should be heated but that sounds retarded to me so is that right?

you dont use whipped cream you fucking donkey, you use pouring
we didnt have expresso machines in the 1940s either, good ground coffee will do the trick
setting it alight wont help either, your burning the alcohol out of it , and in ireland we dont do this fact
the cream is also men tto be cold as the hot coffee blends as you drink it through the cold cream
you know nothing about an irish coffee...
