@AOYF83 You don't need to swear.
If you watch the tutorial, you'll see that there's a flippy triangle to the right of the tools, (Pen, Freeform Pen, Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle, Ellipse, Polygon, Line and Custom Shape tools.) With the Line tool selected, click on that triangle, and you'll get a menu that lets you turn the arrowheads off or on, or adjust the size. Click to disable them, and you'll have plain old lines, any weight you want.

@Jehanneforte If you're using the Pen tool, you need to Stroke the line in order to make it solid. Do that by going to the Paths panel, and clicking the "stroke" button, second from the left at the bottom, while the Path is active. That uses the current Brush for the stroke.
To use something else, hold down the Option key (alt on a PC) while clicking the button, then pick a tool from the menu.
The Line tool is grouped with the Custom Shape, etc. 3 down from the Pen tool on the toolbar.

I can't get the lines to fill in ... I've used the pen tool and dragged the line across where I want it, but when I let go of the mouse, the line doesn't become solid. What am I not seeing?
I DONT WANT STUPID ARROWHEADS!

@MrRobinWilms Then follow the tutorial, and turn them off under the options. It's very simple to do.

Thank you so much.
This was very helpful. You have a very pleasant way of explaining (easy and good to understand (language and explanations)).
