His Holiness Radhanath Swami has been highly known for drawing brilliant lessons from what otherwise look like routine day to day happenings around us. May it be reflections
along the banks of river Ganges, observing a moon through clouds on a full moon night, the analogy of the musk deer in the Himalayas, a night long stay with a scorpion in a Himalayan cave, surprise grip of the ear cleaner at Chandni Chowk in Delhi or the mongoose encounter in Kandhar, Afghanistan, Radhanath Swami's autobiography, The Journey Home, is replete with examples of events where he has unfailingly drawn unique practical lessons so integral in foundation to the tenets of spirituality. These incredible observations of Radhanath Swami blended with his uncanny style of graphic narration have the capacity to convey intended lessons with fine accuracy. Following is another such observation based upon a hawk trying to catch a fish from the Ganges, something that Radhanath Swami is known to quote fairly often during his talks and discourses. He spoke this on the occasion of the launch of 'The Journey Home' in Hrishikesh.
