  • Glenn needs to realize people are not going to wake up until they are starving in a bread line and look to government to save them. I am of the belief that only 10%-15% of the world population can self sustain. Most people are too hopped up on drugs prescribed by their doctor in order to help them maintain sanity. They just don't care and are weak beings stealing air from the rest of us.

  • Collectivism is slavery. It matters not if its Fascism, socialism, national socialism (nazism), communism, or progressivism. Its all collectivism. Its all equally Evil. The minor differences matter NOT!

    Wake up people.

Individualism, ultra limited government, freedom and liberty, individual rights, Equality under the law, and economic liberalism is the real path for America.

The pathetic ones are those that think one collectivism is better than another. WAKE UP IDIOTS!

dito bobdylan4evr. good chat, take care. :-)

  • @trekkerperson your unfairly equating keynsian economics with fascism. Im not looking at this from a biased stand point because i do not support keynsian theory nor fascism.theres a big difference between state control and state intervention. Anyway this ended alot better than i thought ( i expected a big flame war) your definitely not a stupid person which is refreshing.

  • @trekkerperson i still dont agree that a system which purposely persecutes minorities can be viewed as collectivist but i can see the points of your argument

  • @bobdylan4evr

Adding context, it was in the early 20's when he said that to gain power (he was formerly a socialist mind you, this was politics.) Hardly the real fascism of Mussolini (or Hitler) in action. Once Mussolini acquired a firmer hold of power... laissez-faire was progressively abandoned in favour of government intervention, free trade was replaced by protectionism. They had price and wage controls, tariffs, and central control of monetary system. Hitler was just more strict.

  • @bobdylan4evr

State directed, class uniting corporatism, yes that is a form of collectivism, perhaps you would prefer to say statism? They viewed the nation's public good above individuals and that is a form of collectivism. I get what your saying but ultimately its collectivist (state or nation has final say) though inner individual competition did exist. But as would a good scientist in a socialist paradise be promoted, so did fascists do that, just glorified it more so.

  • @bobdylan4evr

Its technically "third way. Not liberal capitalist, not revolutionary communist. I'm not saying that its collectivist in the traditional socialist sense. Its collectivist as in statist. Mussolini was a "lenient master" of private enterprise according to socialist Norman Thomas. Hitler was a the harder master.

Corporatism, in practice by them is where the state harmonizes all groups through the state. Each getting their "due weight". He and HItler were fond of Keynesianism.

  • @trekkerperson also this "Mussolini was the candidate of the plutocracy and the bussiness association" Ettore Conti

  • @trekkerperson and since your so into mussolini quotes this might interest you "The government will accord full freedom to private enterprise and will abandon all intervention in private economy."[

  • @trekkerperson that is untrue, i dont know where your getting these ideas its a well known fact that in the fascist italian state all work was provided by state directed corporations. the core ideology of fascism is not collevtive its not even individualist. The fascists believed in destroying what they percieved as weak members of the society. They promoted the interests of business and destroyed trade and labour unions.
