Well how come he didnt turn his attention to the blood diamond miners in africa and how they are treated and how innocent people are killed over rocks. It is good to address the lies, too. For example, sometimes foreigners judge Americans by what they see on TV. So I explain to them that TV is a collection of the most profane, violent, and often fictional stories taken from American society.

I let them know that for a country this big and this diverse, we all get along remarkably well.

I find that foreigners are very grateful when they feel their objections about America have been heard and addressed. That helps them like America.

The best way for Americans to support America is to help our America be a good nation. That includes listening to the complaints of neighbors and dealing with them honestly, because some of those complaints are based on reality.
