  • That must have been hard on the legs!

  • @tomclavmaster You have to keep pedaling all the time or you lose all momentum. It can be really hard to get started again so you do, everything to keep moving forwards. Thanks for watching.

  • Real cyclists ride year round! The only thing stopping me from riding is ice. Good job and great video!

  • @lucaseq77 Thanks lucas. I try and still get in 2 or 3 days of cycling to maintain some cycling legs in the winter. Even if it's a 30min each way ride to work.

  • @KeyboardRambo You really mix it up. You must own some cross trainers. Do they still make those kinda shoes?

Tires and air pressure are definitely what make a difference in winter conditions. You will be going slower all the time, So better have gear ratios that will work. Gears and brakes work fine until you hit uber cold temp. They you can start having issues. Especially with slow poor shifting.

  • @CrazyCyclingVlogger Haha, I split up my time between a bunch of stuff. My favorite three activities are swimming, cycling, and (just a recent addition) the rowing machine. But I also do running, weights, and tennis (also a recent addition). I might only see light dustings of snow each year so skiing is not an option for me.

For snow cycling, are you going to change tires next time or make any equipment adjustments?

  • @KeyboardRambo Don't have much choice. Not enough snow to cross country ski properly. I DO NOT RUN. Hate it. I will only do cardio work indoors as a last resort.

Honestly the most zen like experiences I have ever had on a bike were during winter rides. It's great for improving bike handling skills too.

November is usually a blah month for me, but I've been staying active for a change this year. I'm going to try and ride 2 days a week all winter. In addition to XC skiing.

  • @GilaTomster The area I'm in is the hilliest part of Canada between the Rockies and the Laurentains. Yeah we have our moments.

  • @jakluk4 Mine were too! Thank you for the kinds words. We still have to go on a bike ride together. Probably best if we wait till spring. Thank you for the feature.

  • Wow, good video. I had to bike through the snow once as a kid. I can only remember that it took forever and I got so cold. Haha

It is impressive you push through for cycling year round. I took the month of November off, doing just one 30 minute ride a week (still averaging 2 hrs/day of total exercise), but am getting back to it starting today.
