  • In usa thet Dell this pc but called mini 311 has a atom but has nvidia ion so without the 10.1 it can actuaaly play 1080 so the dmi1 is a piece of shit imao

  • @Cucuriqui2 The DM1 is a different model, not sold in the US yet. It can handle 1080p video just as well as the HP Mini 311.

  • Really made no differance to my GMA 4500MHD, it allways played smooth!

    Dell Studio 15 - $500

    Windows 7 Home Edition 64-Bit

    4G RAM

    Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz

    500G Hard Drive 5400 RPM

  • @MriBackup because you've got a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor!

  • Youtube has no 1080p !

and dammed.. why not HW Acc. for the GMA 500 ? ...... *waiting*

  • YouTube has 1080p now (doesn't seem to be true 1080p), for those who have uploaded in 1080p format and flash 10.1 is out to HW accelerate it. Shame about the GMA 500 situation yeah.

  • Haha, i have

    compaq presario cq61-210so

    4g ram

    windows 7 64bit

    1,8 ghz intel dual-core t3000

    Intel gma 4500MHD 512mb

    It works great x)

  • It seems like the problem is the driver. I have 8.xxxxxxx installed, but flash 10.1 only supports 15.xxxxxxx. And my driver was customized by acer, so i can't download the generic driver from Intel's webpage.

It's kind of funny how I asked a question in the comments, and ended up answering my own problem...

  • After unninstalling flash 10.1 and installing flash 10.0, I figured out that I didn't get any hardware acceleration at all with 10.1, because 720p still plays fairly smooth with a a chop ever now and then. CPU usage was not really increased with 10.0, so I guess I didn't get the hardware acceleration with 10.1. I don't really know what's wrong. Is GMA 4500M supported at all, or only the 4500MHD?

  • I just figured out that I don't have 4500MHD, but only 4500M (which lacks the 64MB of memory). Kind of strange though, because when I saw it online, it said 4500MHD (which it still does.

  • So I've downloaded flash 10.1 on my new laptop/netbook (13,3"). But 1080p still doesn't work properly. 720p on youtube works, but it chops every now and then which is kind of annoying. Is there something I have to do after downloading flash 10.1?

    My specs are:

    SU4100 1,3 dual core

    Intel GMA 4500

    4 GB RAM

I'm pretty sure that I have the necessary specs. I hope you can help me out

  • @Cucuriqui2

I have the Dm 1 1010sa in the UK, I have some files from a Sony Hd camcorder and its full hd res and plays sweet, but cannot do youtube 1080. bit silly if you ask me.

And I have installed Intels own drivers as the hp modded ones are rubbish.

  • dmi is never going to be in usa cause it is sold as the mini 311 and really my bad i thouchgt that the grafics on this one were crappy

  • Have you checked how many fps do you have playing HD clips on youtube? I have asus ul20 with same cpu and gpu and i have 18-22fps with flash 10.1 which is not as smooth as it should be. I'm trying to find whats wrong.
