National Railway Museum's Model Railway

The National Railway Museum at York operates a huge 0 gauge model railway system in the Great Hall (usually located behind the Japanese Bullet Train and Mallard). The model railway has only returned to action recently following redevelopment work surrounding it.

Anyway, here are a couple of trains at work on the layout. See what trains you can recognise.

This is a great video of a great model layout. I was surprised at the good standard of detail on it when I saw it at the NRM. There must be some railway modellers working at the museum!

@antsimkins It really works, doesn't it? 00 track to N scale buildings probably wouldn't work though... at least not at much as this does.

@Welwyn22 0 gauge, but the buildings are 00 gauge to save space on te layout.

@19skateboarder96 Yes, it's aV2. The number looks like 60872, which would make it "King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry".

Haven't seen the light show yet myself (whether or not it will be on when I go again next month, has yet to be seen).
