One of the Svetsov radial engines of the Li-2 (licenced Soviet copies of the DC-3) starting. Note the "firework" coming out of the exhaust pipes - this is normal here!

úgy hallottam kb 5 év alatt újították fel, és kb 3 éve tud újra repülni (biztos lesz most a 20.-ai air race alatt) amúgy még a II világháború óta van magyarországon de nem mindig volt a malévnál, volt amikor a hadseregnél szolgált

there are 2 (TWO !) Li-2s on the world, what can fly... one in russia, and the other one is in Hungary. this is the hungarian one

People are going to see this and think, "Well, that's a DC-3/C-47," but it's true that the Russians built their own version! I know there a re many DC-3/C-47/R4Ds still flying and some still earning their keep, but how many of these Li-2s are still flying I wonder?
