Now the motors are in parallel, splitting the current (torque) between them but both recieving full voltage (speed). Next step is to make a circuit to handle automatic switching depending on motor speed so the rider need not concern him/herself.
Most of the braking is regenerative, only when speed drops below 7mph are the mechanical brakes needed, except in an emergency. Even then, the regen slows the bike much quicker than you would dare with the rear brake. Regen currents are reaching 100A, and have peaked at 180A. The Kelly controllers regen function is getting better and better.
1kw/h consumed during the film.

  • THIS IS THE FUTURE

  • I'm actually surprised about the accelleration. How much did the entire setup (minus the donor bike) cost?

  • I'd love to try something like that. Flat torque curve, none of that hesitancy. It even sounds cool in it's own way.

  • 0:21 straight past the petrol station! That'd be the best feeling.

  • Nice one! This bike rocks!!! >:) Yo the man Jozz! Love it!!!!!!
