Could you imagine what it would be like to suffer in labour for two days, with a suspected breached birth, knowing that it would take several days to trek over mountainous terrain to reach a medical facility that could cope with your situation. What if you couldn't even do this because you couldn't afford the treatment when or if you got there in the first place. These are just two of the problems that the Poor villagers of Nepal's rural districts have to overcome, and there are so many more.
Thanks to DCWC Nepal (Development of Children & Women Centre), in one district of Kavre in Nepal, true stories like the one mentioned will become a thing of the past.
