  • They need to stop showing ONLY mulattos like Malcolm X, Barack Obama, Colin Powell...and now this guy...Frederick Douglas.

This is WRONG..they just show them off because their part European (white) and part Afro African (black).

  • When you have a person who has both anglo and african ancestry, our society will do one of two things: give them a chance in "white society" because of their light color, or subject them to prejudices because of their darker skin. Of course this will affect the opportunities they are given in life, but I will not judge people by their skin color. I'll listen to anyone, regardless of color or heritage, if I think that they are revealing the truth.

Sir, you are a credit to our nation. I salute you. I also haven't laughed that hard in a while.

  • Fredrick Douglass father was a slave raper -- most slave owners raped their slaves. Then the child was sold soon after birth - so the "nigger bitch" didn't waste time with the "nigger baby".

Go read his autobiography, or any slave autobiography. Slave rape and selling children is what slave owners did.

Slavery was about pussy - about raping slaves and selling the children.

That's what the Confederacy was founded on - slave rape.

  • I've heard it said that Frederick Douglass was one of the greatest Americans who ever lived. As someone from the City of Liverpool which has so many links witn that great country, I disagree. Frederick Douglass was one of the greatest human beings who ever lived.

The world needs more people like Fredrick Douglass and William Rathbone.

  • ximox10:Your "however" is totally irrelevant. What point did you entend to highlight?

  • Word inspired by by the almighty to strike the dark forces of wicked men.........Hail Fredrick!

  • Good video, Frederick Douglass spoke words of truth, however the northern states abolished slavery.

  • you have a good basis i would say but also when blacks were into slavery it would include even mulattos it was said that 'Anyone with a drop of African blood in their veins account for an african' so regardless of color they still went through same struggles and can relate equally if not better since they have a taste of both
