  • @Loupland uhm, not really, read my comment above, but also, Nederlands is a word from the last 50years, before the sec worldwar we were speaking Diets so Dutch, but after the war, Diets would refer to much to the nazis who were Duits so Deutch so Diets went in disuse because we hated the "Germans" from now on and we went using Netherlands wich comes from low german, couse we live in lowlands, but in our national anthem it didnt change ofc, because we were still from Dietse blood, wich refers Aryan

  • this is bullshit, German/ic is a Keltic or Roman word for the Germanic peoples, wich come from Noorway, Sweden, Danmark, Germany and the Netherlands, so in germanic language we call our language and people, Dutch, Diets, Duits, Deutch, Dytsk etc, in english, Dutch refers to German as wel as to hollands, because during that time the difference between high german and low german wasnt much, but most of all Germany didtn exist until 150 years ago, there was just all those fiefdoms andthe provincies

    Nee man, Diets.

Dat is onze oude taal. Dat is die tijd dat we alles wat op 's' eindigd, als 'sch' schreven. En toen we 'praten' nog als 'praeten' schreven.

De engelse noemen Diets dus Dutch. Volgens hun, praten we Dutch in Nederland. Terwijl ze eigelijk Netherlandish moeten zeggen.

  • The English jerks were so arrogant that they called German speaking people "Dutch" as a put down. Typical of the lime eaters to discriminate against anyone who wasn't into eating spotted dick.

  • And the language is actually German(like) instead of the Netherlands dutch.

  • Nederlands dus

  • Blue Ball National Bank. They string you along like they're going to give you a loan and right at the last minute they say they have a headache or their jaw hurts. Yeah, right!

  • But one mustn't forget that until the 16th century, ALL Germans were called Dutch by the English. But from that time on, only the Nederduitsche (Lower Germans) were called Dutch and the rest "Germans".
