( lol ) The man and his tale are as strange and amusing as the music.

Priceless footage of the band performing.

I knew don then during the time he was making Safe as Milk and he didn't like drugs . I was about 12 years old and spent alot of time with his family , his mom and his granny . I remember that Don gave me a stack of these bumper stickers that came with the record that had a baby's face on them and said Safe as milk . I stuck them all over the school buss and all over the school. I remember him John French playing me songs from Safe as Milk that didn't have vocals yet .

For those who don't know - the complete story of Don (captain beefheart) falling off the 10-foot stage. He later confessed, he had taken LSD, and looked and saw a girl in the front row - whose face now appeared like a huge fish - which caused him to retreat in horror and to fall. This might sound fantastical - but for any knowledgable fans who read this - they will recognise I am right.
The captain was very unique. He definately knew what he was referring to in his song "I feel like Ahcid".

Why was that a reply to me? I didnt mention anything about the avant garde, or any opinion in either direction of Dons music.
