guys... there are no 'if' 'ands' or 'buts' these two ARE together in the series. TOGETHER TOGETHER. not friendship or brotherly love or whatever. they even SAY straight out that those two are together.... they don't show a kiss between them but they also don't show a kiss between Li and Sakura either who were also together ._.

@InoLikesYaoi in the English dub version, which is the one you probably watched when you were little, they were just really close friends. In the Japanese original version, they do actually both like each other, and though you never actually hear them confess you get the impression that they are a couple by the end:D hope this helps:D:D
