How To Market With Blog Comments The Right Way

@GideonShalwick - Video Comments are a good idea if you have the tech savy to make such a reply... most people don't have a clue... I think the reality is that those of us involved in blogging, video blogging, working in this area know a heck of a lot more than the general population. I know it all begins to seem second nature to those of us involved in the business... but to be honest, it is totally foreign to most people... so a simple text comment can be valuable.... ! I encourage both.

Hey Yaro,
We can blame Gideon for too many videos - it's his rapid video method :)
Yes - if the blogger you're trying to get attention from actually reads the comments and not getting someone to filter them for them. (I know people like John Reese have it outsourced)
I could add to this about "imagine writing 500 words". Instead do a video response, then have it transcribed and post both onto their blog and YouTube channel giving double impact. (most people are too lazy to do this)

After seeing this video and reading the comments, especially from Gideon I have to agree with Gideon.
In my own blogs I find that leaving a comment that you suggest really doesn't do a whole lot for me, but if I leave a comment on their video page or on their Facebook page or something like that then I get a lot more traffic.
I believe that the future is in the social media frontier then on blogs.
More and more people are gravitating to Facebook and Twitter.

Hello Yaro
again a great video, but to engage emotionally without becoming argumentative is not a easy task. Or this is what you recommend?

I think what you said really works and I've done it before, but you brought up really interesting ideas. my problem is actually just finding posts and blogs that I like enough to say something, and also TIME, coz it gets hard between writing posts coming up with ideas, do some reading, and then living life and doing things other than blogging.
thank you so much, your so good and focused, you know what to say amazingly, I'm a follower and reader of yours for more than 2 years now. thank yaro :)

Hey Yaro! I am wondering if I should generally post "video blogs" on my Youtube channel that are different from my actual blog, or is it good to post the videos on both places. I am thinking that ultimately, I want to develop a following on both venues - Youtube and my blog, so that makes me think I should just post the same in both places and work smart. However, I don't know to what extent people will follow both. Thanks!
Hey Yaro
Great to see you're getting into video a lot more.
Since your video is about commenting... I guess that means I have to leave a nice comment now otherwise you might delete it!
Ok here goes...
I think commenting on blog posts is cool. But that's kinda over done now - "been there done that" kinda thing.
On the other hand, leaving comments on people's YouTube channels is a much easier way to stand out and to make the connection with the author... or video creator in this case /cont

And leaving a video response where you speak directly to the channel owner can be worth GOLD - cos then they get to actually SEE you too!
But of course, I am totally biased when it comes to video ;)
Kinda unfairly biased actually hehehe!
Thanks for the great video once again!
