The so-so audio on these Night Flight videos does NOT do justice to the incredibly sexy voice of the female narrator, not sure why it doesn't come thru. She may have had the most amazing voice of any woman in television ever. You're only kind of hearing it here, but the effect when you heard it for real as it was broadcast on Friday night back then was...wow, is she hot or what? There was just something...Seger said it--you had to respect her but...her voice had mind-slapping strut.
If I remeber correctly, this was right around the time when networks were first starting to air the film! I saw it around this time when I was in highschool & it instantly became one of my favorites! (Nightflight was great as a haven for such pop-culture icons!)
As far as colorization goes... News Flash; They HAD Color In 1968!!! Mr. Romero wanted it in B&W for effect! Its one thing to add color to a film made at a time when the studios didn't offer it. But, don't force it on the artists!
Actually, it's never stated in the film that space radiation caused the zombie plague, only that it's the theory the authorities are focusing on. Also it isn't brought up until near the end of the film, not in the opening like this intro might lead you to believe. Just thought that was worth clarifying.
omgleah, there were TWO colorized versions, the Hal Roach version from the 1980's and the Legend Film version from 2006 or so! The second version looks a lot better and there are no Green zombies in the 2nd version!

I remember waking up to this promo. I watched the whole show and I was forever changed. George Romero and Capcom games inspired me.

60sThru80s, I'm guessing you never saw the latest colorized version, and you have no idea what you are talking about!

Really! Now that I've never seen before, I'll have to take a look. I do love the black and white though.
