@f14birdy Large bands (like Megadeth) still make 60 to 500 thousand a concert. So, the minimum per band member per show is about $10,000- the max being anywhere around $100,000. Over a hundred shows a year, and you're making quite a bit. Plus you make money from albums and from magazines/commercials that use Megadeth.

@Yoshiling record companies get most of the money from concerts. Only people in the music business making any money at all are lil wayne, lady gaga, justin bieber etc... and even they arn't making as much as bands like metallica/acdc did back in the day...
