Why is there so many morons on the internet? So many YouTube comments I see make me want to stab people I've never met. Makes me fucking angry how they can say a band used to be good then they get heard of and gain fame and suddenly they're "mainstream" Yeah, nice one cunt.

Also massive apologies for multiple comments but as far as your comment saying that no-one regards the 80's as genius, Fleetwood Mac, The Clash, Prince, Primal Scream, Madness, The Stone Roses, De La Soul, Queen, David Bowie, Metallica, Nirvana, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Michael Jackson and Joy Division off the top of my head all serve as fairly influential and arguably "genius" in their own genre during the 80's..

to the fundamentals. As I'm sure people in the 60's, 70's to which I assume you're referring to the fact that many genre's were evolving out of funk, soul, and blues music developing out of the civil rights movement. I don't think speculation is pointless, but aside from it's virtue I was using it as a point to question your personal distaste for music perhaps stemming from societal influence of perceived identities and values.

With all civility the age of celebrating the 90's means virtually nothing. My point was merely that many people venerate the past and despise the present in every generation. I understand your argument against mass marketed music which perhaps stems from a progressive capitalist society. But it is undeniable that virtually all artists perform their music with the goal of recognition and fans, who is to say that the king blues are not merely providing a progressive version of punk whilst sticking

I'm of the age that I should be celebrating the 90s, but they're still not as great a decade as the 70s, 60s or 50s, during which I wasnt alive, but the music is still superior, mostly because it was created true to its roots, and didnt use samples and marketing cliches like this song clearly does. The guy's voice is average and pop rapping. and the cliched chorus doesn't help the song either. Speculating on what people will celebrate in the future is pointless. Few are calling the 80s genius.

It's not really Gestapo, it's trying to determine the logical and accurate reason that you may not like a particular group. I don't understand this infatuation currently that anything pre 90's is unarguably superior to anything current. It seems like an ironic self delusion given that undoubtedly in 30 years time people will be fawning over aspects of this generation of music as "genius". You're original comment is perfectly valid, this spurious prophylactic rage kind of undermines your point..

I disagree with the lad, butttt to be fair to the original comment it is neither disrespectful or an attempt to manipulate others opinions of the song. It is merely a statement that they don't like the song and why they don't like it. providing your opinion on the song positive or negative is kind of exactly what the comment section is for.. evoking someones personal ability because they provide a negative judgement is kind of a non-argument within the confines of art and music also..
