This is an in car from the feature event at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway on July 02, 2011. When I saw the giant cloud of smoke in front of me my first instinct was that the car in front of me blew a motor so I waved the field behind me off while the guys on the outside kept on going. Ended up just being tire smoke from some contact a couple of the other drivers made so the race continued on. Ohhh well. Finished 10th overall. I believe it was a 25 car field. Had a good weekend!
Something I've always wondered - The closer you are to the center, the less circumference, right? So how come the person in front doesn't just stay as close to the center as possible? In theory, if everything was well executed from that spot, wouldn't it be really hard to pass him?
This is also coming from someone that has no idea how the eff this stuff works, so I'm probably totally wrong.
