He tells me that when they transporting him to be processed the were talking joking about cop stories. He knew a lot of the guys at the jail when they were processing him."] Earlier that morning Peterson turned himself in to police on a felony weapons charge. [Notes:NATS UP Joel Brodsky, Attorney: "He'll be home for dinner."]But was released hours later after an adult son posted 10 percent of his 75-thousand dollar bond.The charge stems from one of eleven weapons police seized during a search of Peterson's home November first. Police say one of the rifle's barrel was too short under Illinois law.But Peterson's attorney thinks the arrest was simply an attempt by police to harass him. [Notes:SOT Joel Brodsky, Attorney: "I believe they may believe it's a tactic to shake him up, bit it's certainly not going to work."] Last October .... authorities named Peterson a suspect in the disappearance of his wife Stacey. Police also are investigating the 2004 death of Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio.
