@WestlyNeverDies That's a pretty good guess but anything is worth a try. They were a little awkward for us the first time we picked them up since we were all used to standard rifles but they're a lot of fun and you can do all kinds of stuff with them.

i dont like airblades. they hurt. :/ but i like putting them on the floor and rolling them :D

no attack mode buuttt...
air blades are much more balanced than wood rifles.. well except the newer "x-rifles" that come in different colors. :)

everyone needs to calm down. I said no to offend anyone. turn off attack mode. people who are now marching phantom regiment and were the best in our guard could barely toss a 5 and couldn't spin them well because their weight is so unbalanced. I have only seen one guard use them well and that was Carmel in 2008. So everyone chill and i will to.

ANY GOOD COLORGUARD is open to nuance and progress. I suppose you all march like your daddy did in the 80's? NOT. They are always making a better rifle and a better sabre. It is called progress. To develop something more lyrical to match the current choreography is genius. Don't think of it as a maimed rifle...think of it as a mutant sabre, something more visable on the field but yet having some grace. It is obvious that picking one up might threaten your identity, though!

first of all, not EVERY PERSON can use a rifle. just because apparently youre guard is "amazing" and you come from plymouth canton (which to me sounds like some pub in the east coast) doesnt mean your actually Great! great guards dont put other guards down because they choose air blade over a rifle. so stick your pride into your tosses, not onto youtube.

the air blades suck. sorry if that offends someone but they are only good if your guard can't spin a rifle. cause then you can dance around with them. you can't spin that like you could spin a rifle and it is just like a sickle rifle just with holes. if you watch any good colorguard you will notice they use rifles and not air blades. i would know, i'm from plymouth canton.
OOO plymouth canton!
...yea never heard of it.
