HMS Manchester escorting the QE2

HMS Manchester escorting the QE2 into Greenock on Scotland's River Clyde on the occasion of her final ever visit to her birthplace. Both these ships are veteranks of the Falklands Conflict of 1982. HMS Manchester accelerates past QE2 in impressive style. QE2 travelling at about 16 knots, because our ship, MV Balmoral, wasn't quite able to keep up at this point!

im sorry but the mighty manch was not in the falklands , but she uis however a gulf war veteran !!!( i know , i was on board for 3 years )

both have retired now, Manchesters final mission was in the carrabean after that she went to liverpool for people to have a look around (like me) i live in manchester and ship of the same name makes us proud. the same with QE2 nice video mate :)

Great footage, Rob. Seeing the incomparable and much-missed QE2 is always a pleasure but shots of a fine Batch-3 Type 42 at speed is an extra bonus. To think that the QE2 could outrun her is awe-inspiring! Thanks for sharing.

Looks like Balmoral is making a good attempt at keeping up too though ! Doesnt the QE2 just have the lines of a beautiful yacht. Still completely modern 40 years later.
