Dredging Economics is fine, but it is easy to get caught up in the Theory of Dredging and forget the fundamentals. Kids today need real, hands on experience dredging through dredging internships and work-study programs. You might be able to recite the cc per second dredge rate of a bucket dredge vs a suction dredge, or the current market value of silt, but until you've been elbow deep in a pile of decomposing organic matter to pull out a bottle cap, you don't know what dredging is really about.

Am I misreading section 3.8.55 of the Dredging Code? He only examined the item, but didn't appraise it. How is this different from the obviously un-dredged stereo he didn't appraise? Also, anyone's dredge getting clogged with Allegheny Beach Snakes lately?
