i mean not that its stupid because every band no matter if its brass or drums marks time. its a legitimate way to keep track of tempo just tone it down a little

really cool book... challenging... nice voicings... when it gets cleaned up, I bet it sounds amazing! Very musical... line plays with a lot of expression!

has anyone ever showed you how to mark time WITHOUT moving your drums..not only does it look bad but it makes for a bad sound..you should only lift you feet about an 1/8 of an inch

@camcorder13 Yes Sir, we were shown how to mark time without moving our drums and how to mark time lifting our feet only 1/8 of an inch. In fact, the years prior to the year in this video, we utilized those techniques. Our band marked time like this because it allowed us to play comfortably and expressively and allowed us to vibe off of each other for a sense of timing, emotion, and unity. It was our style that was unique to us. I know people think it looks stupid but it worked for us.

You might want to think about moving your pit so they can look straight at the battery. Are you a WGI line perchance?
