STRASBURG OCT 8 2011.mov

It was another fine day at Strasburg. They decided to run 2 trains on Saturday, Oct. 8th because of the expected crowds. #90 & #475 did the honors. The mainline into the station is torn up past the water tower. The engines had to run around their train in the yard, causing them to get behind. They also added an extra half hour train that didn't leave until 2:50. The 3:00 train left at 3:20. It was a fun day and the crowds were huge! Excellent news for the railroad. Enjoy!

@trainfann1 That was 89 in the shed. If they had decided to run 2 trains on Sunday, Oct. 9th, it would have been 89 on the half hour train. We found out through the scanner that 475's time had run out for the month.

The track is getting upgraded to handle more freight traffic. They will be upgrading Strasburg's one and only bridge Oct 31-Nov. 13th. Exciting stuff going on!
