Well when I was in high school I loved the woo woos...now I feel like they have fallen off and no longer live up to the name that they were given. Nobody in the CIAA is really killing in terms of cheerleading squads. The title of the BEST CHEERING SQUAD IN THE CIAA IS UP FOR GRABS!!!!

you are SADLY misstaken if you believe that your JV squad looks trashy. Another thing is that you are probably hating on them because perhaps you didn't even make the squad. This is a different type of cheering and not a STEP TEAM. One thing is for sure and that is that the WORLD RENOWNED VSU WOO WOOS are known throughout the different states as the BEST!!! get over yourself.

I'm from Essex County. The "woo woos" taught our untalented JV squad how to cheer. That's why they suck, well also the coach has some doing. I'm the same age as the JV cheer coach, and she should know better than to bring this type of material to Essex High School with such young girls. That makes Essex look trashy!But, this is not a cheer sqaud. This is a step team. You cant even hear what y'all are saying. SO....untill y'all learn how to cheer, do not call yallselves a cheer squad.

I totally disagree with you on this statement. But, you do have your opinion!!! The Woo-Woo's have always stood ahead of all CIAA Schools and others in various conferences as well. Fallen off? I doubt that very serious. They are a force to be reckon with!!! They have had the same coach for over 35 years and she still ensures that the Squad is TOP NOTCH!!!

Yes, its very important to be in Shape for this squad. Again, Dr. Johnson looks for allot out of the girls that are on the squad. Mostly, she looks for (3) things: Grades, Looks and Personality. Its important that you should atleast have these 3 qualities. The men that were on the squad before aren't called "Woo-Woo's" they are called the Men of Troy. And they all were in great shape. She is very open to opening back up the squads to guys again.

well,,i have thought over and over again to try out, but im scared that i might not have the "image" that Dr. johnson wants, so im gonna wait till next year when im back in shape.

Dr. Johnson had guys on the squad before and they were really good. She would encourage them to tryout again. They just need to keep in mind that it takes allot of hardwork and dedication for this squad. She takes her job duties really serious when it comes to maintaining the image of the Woo-Woos.
