  • Really think this guy will be a flop unfortunately. The standard of that league doesnt even look on par with state league in Australia. Would love to be proven wrong, but I cant shake the feeling that this guy is going to be just ANOTHER A-League South American flop.

  • @05winsjp Marcos Flores came from a league just as bad and at the same age. People said the same about him. Give the kid a chance. Let him play.

  • What league were his club in?

And he looks good from what i can see!

  • @melbournearsenal He has played for a few team, but for this club he was playing in the Rio Cup, not in a league. The Brazilian football system is very different to the rest of the world.

He has played in the Brazilian second division, but I think he was at a first division club in his youth days.

  • esse campeonato fraco da Austrália , maycon vai deitar , vai jogar muito , e eu torço por ele

  • @darcinator23 Don't call me an idiot when you don't know what you're talking about. Go to the campeonato carioca wikipedia page and see for yourself Nova Iguacu's position in the First Division of the Rio State League, competing for spots in the Copa Do Brazil, like the competitors in Serie B do. Nova was knocked out of the 2011 carioca by Vasco, who went on to win the cup. The fundamental reason clubs like Nova don't play Serie B is cost - they can't afford to travel on a weekly basis.

  • @ryanthesound lol u idiot its an amatur league that they play in besides the state championships where the teams arent professional status... and nova have been in the 2nd and 1st div of those championships which is lower than serie A, B, C, and D in brazil...

its the equivilent of recruiting a player from the conference national leagues 1 and 2 in England...

either way its nowhere near the standard flores was playing is what i wanted to say!

  • @darcinator23 I wouldn't exactly call the Taça Guanabara, in which Nova Iguacu finished 4th (competing with sides such as Flamengo, Fluminese and Vasco De Gama) an "amateur" league mate, neither the Other Rio State leagues which the club competed. It's difficult to simply associate "divisions" to Brazillian football, and frankly wrong to associate Nova Iguacu with division "7 or 8"

  • @YarrasideTV couldnt be more wrong mate.... flores played top flight in argentina and chile although his club got relegated the year he left for united which is quite a high level of football... where as this maycon has only played in amatur leagues in brazil which in terms of division would technicaly be div 7&8 and is nowhere near the standard of flores's leagues

in terms of wheather hes going to be good or not, I reakon he's going to be great apparently ath Paranese were trying to scout him!

  • @saliwonczyk123 you are fucked in the head

  • u know, I am sure these players would have more talent than the A league put together.

  • Melbourne Heart just needs one more centre defender in my opinion
