Wegener granulomatosis is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by granulomatous vasculitis of the upper and lower respiratory tracts, glomerulonephritis, and small-vessel vasculitis.

The most frequent manifestation of Wegener granulomatosis on thoracic CT is the presence of nodules or masses in lung parenchyma , which tend to be multiple and billateral in distribution. These cavities usually
have irregular, thick wall and often have a peribronchovascular
distribution.
